    As a Field Service Technician you will play a key role in the satisfaction of many loyal customers, which includes large companies and government offices as well as small to medium-sized businesses. Our Technicians are responsible for on-site service of Canon's networked digital imaging products with the focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, tracking and repairing the products. Working within a designated geographic territory, you'll be dispatched to various job assignments depending on the product and experience level. You'll be trained to make the necessary mechanical or electrical repairs as well as provide prevention maintenance on all machines serviced.


    Field Service Technician Duties:

    • Responsible for troubleshooting product for required repairs
    • Responsible for following company and customer safety policies and procedures
    • Complete assigned field calls according to priority
    • Executing proper time management while on field assignment
    • Accurately document service activities according to Canon Solutions America Service and Parts Standards
    • Achieve efficiency and a high level of customer satisfaction



    • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or similar field of study or equivalent business experience
    • Experience in repair and maintenance of office equipment at customer locations (Preferred)
    • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
    • Possess excellent mechanical skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Able to lift 50 lbs. and be in a mobile activity more than 50% of the time. (Walking, standing, stooping/kneeling)
    • Possess a Valid Driver’s License
    • Depending on client needs and service agreements, certain technician jobs may require the ability to work a shift schedule, be on call, or travel occasionally
    • ASE or HVAC certifications encouraged to apply

    *New technicians participate in Canon's 6 week comprehensive training program known as Printing & Digital Imaging Foundations, you will learn the fundamentals of the electrical and mechanical systems that are integral to the office automation process, in addition to learning troubleshooting and customer service skills. On-going training and technical certification are conducted on a regular basis throughout your career as a technician.
