The Business Development Rep is responsible for contacting warm business leads who have expressed interest via web registrations, trade shows and direct email responses.  Leads include both current and future customers.  Our ideal candidate will have experience making Outbound Calls in a Sales, Retail or B2B environment. Knowledge of the Graphics, Sign-Display, and Commercial or Screen Printers is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the technical aspects of Canon Wide Format solutions and communicate the advantages and benefits of our technology to customers and prospects.
  • Ensure complete and timely coverage of all our marketing leads generated from our: web site, email campaigns, trade shows, live chat, and inbound calls.
  • Implement outbound prospecting to vertical market lists and open house events.
  • Work closely with Sales Reps on territory development projects.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in tracking leads to their close.
  • Obtain a monthly and annual goal for qualified leads.
  • Cover inbound calls and live chat to answer technical questions related to wide format printing systems.
  • Update our Salesforce database with key information to support and evaluate marketing campaign results.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work in a close team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to comfortably initiate phone contact with prospects; 50+ outbound calls a day.
  • Knowledge of technical printing industry is a plus; Graphics, Sign-Display, Commercial or Screen Printers. 
  • Strong ability to multitask to work on multiple projects/campaigns which require outbound and inbound prospecting.
  • Minimum of one (1) year telephone or related sales-marketing promotional experience, with emphasis on generating new business.
  • Ability to learn the technical aspects of large format solutions and articulate the benefits to prospects and customers.
  • Proficiency in MS Business Programs.
